Now, like you probably have, I've read a bit about copy writing and I know that fear of loss is a far bigger motivator than the promise of gain. That's why you can tell people the price is going up or the bonuses are being removed after a certain number have been sold. But it cuts no ice because everyone says that. But...

...if they actually SEE the price going up, before their very eyes,
they certainly believe it!

I must confess I never really understood just how powerful a motivator fear of loss was until an incident a while back.

You see, much against my will, I was dragged along to attend a furniture auction. Strange, now I look back, because if I had been a bit firmer and said no, I wouldn't have created this great piece of software.

What amazed me was the absolute foaming at the mouth frenzy people worked themselves up into at this auction. They were so determined to outbid their opponents they ended up paying far more than the trashy bit of furniture they finally bought was actually worth. There's even a name for this. It's called "auction fever".

And that's when it hit me.

Because even the expensive ones were pretty unreliable -- or difficult to install, or both -- even though I'm pretty technical myself.

Then it hit me...

Heck! I can do better than this!

So, having seen what was wrong with these scripts, I set about writing my own software to avoid all the problems they had. You see, I was determined to create a program that was:

* Such a no-brainer a child could install and use it.

* Absolutely bullet-proof in its reliability.
